Thursday 8 December 2016
09:30 – 16:00
This is a joint event hosted by KSS AHSN, Beautiful Information and The Quality Observatory.
The aim of this event is to bring people together that are passionate about Informatics in the health and social care – the use of data, not the creation of data, Information Management not Information Technology, ultimately transforming data through information into intelligence into action. To improve performance within health and social care we need information to be driving commissioning and operational decisions, not simply being a function to keep central government informed about historical performance with operational roles surviving simply on experience and gut feel. Our vision is to create closer working relations and a more productive ‘conversation’ between Informatics and the clinicians, managers and commissioners they work with, to embed this use of information by developing better predictive techniques and push alerting and to exploit the recent exciting advances in data visualisation.
In taking strides to achieve the aim, there will be a focus on building a localised community of practice amongst analytical professionals across Kent, Surrey and Sussex – with a particular steer towards ensuring analytics is fully recognised for the value it brings.
Attendance is free of charge. To register for the day, please click here.
