The analysts’ revolution!

Thursday 19 March 2020
09:30 – 16:00
Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham B4 7XG

Population Health Management (PHM) requires a radical shift in the use of analysis. This event explores this shift. It is for both analysts and decision makers using analysis. Health and social care systems do not make best use of existing analytical talents and resources. Analysts are often frustrated and de-skilled; decision makers don’t always make good use of analysis.

If this is true, then what should be done? How significant are the changes needed? Does PHM offer an opportunity? Do we need an analysts’ revolution?

At this event, you will hear from people at the cutting edge of this agenda. Speakers include nationally significant analytical leaders as well as decision makers including: Adam Steventon, The Health Foundation; Andi Orlowski, Imperial Health Partners; Marc Farr, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust; Helen Carter and Jake Abbas, Public Health England; and Mohammed Mohammed, The Strategy Unit.

We will share the story of the Midlands PHM Academy; we will launch the ‘PHM Analysts’ Manifesto’; and we will gather your views on what needs to change to make better use of analysis in the future. You will also hear about next steps in the Midlands to take this agenda forward.
